Instructions
- Soak the rice in water for 15 to 20 minutes before you start cooking. Use the time to chop the vegetables and keep them a side. Add a pinch of salt in the boiled water and add the soaked rice. Turn off the heat when the rice is 3/4th done. Spread the rice on a plate and let it cool.
- Take a wok, add the vegetable oil, and start cooking on a medium flame. First of all add the chopped garlic, sauté the garlic until it is golden brown in colour. Now add the spring onion bulbs and mix well then add the French beans and carrots one after the other. Mix all the vegetables well, add a pinch of salt and let it cook for around 5 minutes until the vegetables turn soft. Now add the soya sauce and mix it well with the vegetables. Next add the cooked rice, a pinch of salt and mix it well with all the ingredients. Cover the wok with a lid and let it cook for 5 more minutes. Now switch off the heat, add the vinegar and mix it well with the rice. Sprinkle the chopped spring onion greens for garnishing. Your Burnt Garlic Rice is ready to be served. Enjoy!!! P.S. – You can also add fried eggs and prawns while serving for better taste.
